This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Likely Markets ("we", "us", "Platform") collects, uses, stores, and protects information about you when you access and use the Likely Markets prediction platform via the Telegram Mini App or the website likely.markets.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. This Policy is written in accordance with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable international data protection standards.
By using Likely Markets, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, you must not use the Platform.
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the Platform. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not display advertising. Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Likely Markets service.

Likely Markets operates the prediction platform at likely.markets. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Likely Markets is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

3. Data We Collect
3.1 Data You Provide Directly
When you use Likely Markets, you may provide us with the following information:
- Telegram user ID and Telegram username — collected automatically when you access the Mini App;
- Telegram display name — used to identify you within the Platform;
- TON wallet address — provided by you when making deposits or withdrawals;
- Market content — titles, descriptions, and resolution decisions for markets you create as a Creator;
- Dispute submissions — information you provide when filing or responding to a dispute;
- Communications — messages you send to our support or legal email addresses.
3.2 Data Collected Automatically
When you use the Platform, we automatically collect certain technical and usage data:
- Platform activity logs — records of your buy orders, sell orders, market participations, and withdrawals;
- Transaction records — amounts, timestamps, and outcomes of all financial activity on the Platform;
- Device and access data — general information about the device and connection used to access the Platform (e.g. operating system type, access timestamps);
- IP address — collected for security, fraud prevention, and operational purposes;
- In-app behaviour — how you navigate and interact with the Platform, used for product improvement.
3.3 Data We Do NOT Collect
Likely Markets does not collect:
- Your real name, physical address, or government-issued identification (we do not perform KYC at this stage);
- Payment card details or bank account information;
- Biometric data of any kind;
- The content of your private Telegram messages;
- Data from your device beyond what is described in Section 3.2.
Because Likely Markets operates as a Telegram Mini App, your primary identity on the Platform is your Telegram account. We do not require you to create a separate account with a username and password.
4. How We Use Your Data
4.1 To Operate the Platform
We use your data to:
- Process your deposits, buy orders, sell orders, and withdrawals;
- Calculate and credit your earnings and platform Credits;
- Identify you within the Platform and attribute activity to your account;
- Resolve disputes and enforce the Creator bond and strike system;
- Process Creator applications and maintain Creator records.
4.2 For Security and Fraud Prevention
- Detect and prevent fraudulent activity, market manipulation, and abuse of the Platform;
- Identify and investigate violations of the Terms of Service;
- Protect the integrity of the dispute resolution system;
- Monitor for unusual transaction patterns that may indicate account compromise.
4.3 For Platform Improvement
- Analyse usage patterns to improve the Platform's features and user experience;
- Identify technical issues and bugs;
- Develop new features based on how Users interact with existing functionality.
4.4 For Legal Compliance
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations;
- Respond to lawful requests from public authorities;
- Maintain records as required by applicable law;
- Enforce our Terms of Service, Creator Agreement, and other policies.
4.5 Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Under the GDPR, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance — processing necessary to provide the Platform services you have requested;
- Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, security, and Platform improvement, where these interests are not overridden by your rights;
- Legal obligation — where processing is required by applicable law;
- Consent — where you have explicitly consented to specific processing activities.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
5.1 We Do Not Sell Your Data
Likely Markets does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for commercial purposes. Full stop.
5.2 Data Visible to Other Users
Certain information is visible to other Platform users by design:
- Your Telegram username — displayed as the Creator or participant in markets you are involved in;
- Your Creator markets, resolution decisions, and strike history — visible to maintain Platform transparency;
- Publicly visible market activity — buy and sell orders may be visible to other market participants.
5.3 Service Providers
We may share limited data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform, subject to strict confidentiality obligations. This includes:
- Cloud infrastructure and hosting providers;
- Blockchain infrastructure providers for TON network interactions;
- Analytics tools for Platform usage analysis (anonymised data only).
5.4 Legal Disclosures
We may disclose your data to law enforcement or regulatory authorities if:
- We are required to do so by applicable law or a binding court order;
- We believe disclosure is necessary to prevent fraud, illegal activity, or harm;
- Disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Likely Markets, our users, or the public.
5.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of Likely Markets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you of any such transfer and your options regarding your data.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for the following periods:
- Account and transaction data — retained for the duration of your account and for 5 years following account closure, for legal and audit purposes;
- Market and resolution data — retained indefinitely as part of the Platform's public historical record;
- Dispute records — retained for 3 years following dispute resolution;
- Security and fraud logs — retained for 2 years;
- Support communications — retained for 2 years from the date of the communication.
Where retention is no longer necessary and no legal obligation requires it, we will securely delete or anonymise your data.
7. Blockchain Data
Deposits and withdrawals are processed on the TON blockchain. Blockchain transactions are permanently recorded on a public, immutable ledger. This means:
- Your TON wallet address and transaction amounts are permanently visible on the public blockchain;
- Likely Markets cannot delete or modify blockchain records;
- The right to erasure (Section 9.4) does not apply to data recorded on the blockchain.
If you are concerned about blockchain privacy, we recommend using a dedicated TON wallet address for Likely Markets transactions rather than a wallet linked to your primary identity.
8. Telegram and Third-Party Platforms
Likely Markets operates as a Telegram Mini App. By using the Platform, you also interact with Telegram's platform, which has its own Privacy Policy and data practices. We recommend reviewing Telegram's Privacy Policy at telegram.org/privacy.
Data received from Telegram (such as your Telegram user ID and username) is governed by both Telegram's Privacy Policy and this Policy. We use Telegram-provided data solely to operate the Platform.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Under the GDPR and applicable data protection law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
9.1 Right of Access
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will respond to access requests within 30 days.
9.2 Right to Rectification
You have the right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.
9.3 Right to Restriction
You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your data in certain circumstances, such as while a dispute about its accuracy is resolved.
9.4 Right to Erasure
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data where it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to the following limitations:
- We may retain data where required by law or for legitimate legal defence purposes;
- Transaction and market records may be retained for audit and dispute resolution purposes;
- Blockchain data cannot be deleted (see Section 7).
9.5 Right to Data Portability
You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format and to transmit it to another service.
9.6 Right to Object
You have the right to object to the processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interests as our legal basis.
9.7 Right to Withdraw Consent
Where we process data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.

9.9 Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.
10. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest;
- Access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel only;
- Regular security reviews of our systems and processes;
- Secure vault architecture for user funds;
- Monitoring for suspicious activity and potential security breaches.
While we take all reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as required by applicable law.
11. Children's Privacy
Likely Markets is not directed at or intended for use by persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from persons under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will take immediate steps to delete that data and terminate the account.
If you believe a person under 18 is using the Platform, please notify us immediately at legal@likely.markets.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify users of material changes via the Platform with at least 14 days' notice. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
